The Weedsport Central School District – which has an enrollment of approximately 850 students – is spread over two main buildings: Weedsport Elementary School (Pre-K through grade 5) and Weedsport Jr.-Sr. High School (grades 6 through 12).
Located approximately 20 miles west of Syracuse and six miles north of Auburn, Weedsport is a semi-rural community with a population of more than 2,000 residents; 6,000 residents encompass the entire school district. Weedsport has a reputation of being a quaint village where some farming and small businesses continue to thrive. The village offers a convenient commute to those who travel and work in nearby metropolitan areas. The New York State Thruway (Exit 40) makes commuting to Syracuse and other parts of the state reasonable.
