When voters approved the $14.9 million capital project in late 2015, it included work on the bottom floor of Weedsport Elementary School. That work was completed this summer.
The work included the installation of a new heating and ventilation system throughout the entire building, and a complete overhaul of the space and the creation of a community area that will house the district’s YMCA program and a Pre-K classroom. Additionally, there’s a new occupational and physical therapy room and a refinished STEM classroom.
The school also added a new level of security to help with secure entry.
