A recent inspection of the Weedsport Central School district buses by the New York State Department of Transportation resulted in a 100 percent passing rating.

A total of 19 vehicles were inspected, and the inspections (a total of 42) were performed between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.

According to the DOT, the statewide passing rating 95.5.

“Keeping our kids safe is a top priority for us in Weedsport and an inspection report like this reinforces that,” said Superintendent Shaun O’Connor.

“This is an indication that our entire transportation staff takes their responsibilities very serious. They should be proud.”
