Weedsport Jr.-Sr. High School has announced its student-athletes of the month. They are as follows along with a quote from his/her coach:

• Boys’ Basketball: Thomas Sickler
  “Tommy has been a vital cog off the bench for the team all season long. He is a leading 3 point threat as well as one of our best passers. He works hard in practice and is a student of the game.”

• Girls’ Basketball: Sarah Carroll
  “Sarah is a vital part of this basketball team. She scores 10 points per game, leads the team in assists, and keeps the team under control in high-pressure situations. On top of her on-court excellence, she also excels in the classroom.”

• Swimming: William Sterling
  “Team captain Will Sterling helped lead the swimming & diving team to another Class C sectional championship with a strong performance in both the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Will’s second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle and third place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke at sectional’s was a result of his hard work and maximum effort put into the pool throughout the season.”
