Weedsport Central School District has COVID-19 test kits available to distribute to all students. There is no requirement that families test their children, but Governor Kathy Hochul is encouraging the testing of students in order to keep students and school communities as safe as possible. 

If you are interested in having a test kit sent home with your child on Tuesday, January 4th or Wednesday, January 5th, please fill out the request form found here. Please include information for EACH child who will receive a test kit. Requests will only be taken until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5th. One test kit will be distributed for each student currently enrolled.

Please note the District will not be tracking or reporting results. We ask that families who utilize the kits and have a child with a positive test result report the positive case to the Cayuga County Health Department and work with the District to follow all isolation and quarantine requirements.

Positive, home test antigen kit results can be sent by email to the following address: covidtest@cayugacounty.us. In the email, please include a picture of the test result with the following written on the actual test kit or on a piece of paper:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Date of test

Please also include the phone number of the parent/guardian of the COVID-positive student for ease of contact by the CCHD.
