Cayuga County to host back-to-school immunization clinics

In preparation for the 2022-23 school year, the Cayuga County Health Department will be hosting several clinics over the summer months for children in need of immunizations required for school attendance.

All students are required to have certain vaccines before entering school to help protect against whooping cough, measles, mumps, polio, tetanus, hepatitis B, rubella, HIB, pneumococcal disease, chickenpox, diphtheria and meningococcal disease.

In addition to offering protection against serious disease, the health department hopes to alleviate unnecessary school absences due to lack of mandated vaccination.

The immunization clinics will be held on Friday, July 22, Thursday, July 28, Wednesday, August 24, and Thursday, August 25. The clinics will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cayuga County Health Health Department on Dill Street in Auburn. For more information, see the flyer below, or download a copy here.
