During this time of school closure, Weedsport Central School District would like to share with the school community an option for child-care. It is accepted that many parents and/or guardians are currently homebound with their children due to the Governor’s mandate requiring non-essential employees to not report to work; however, the Governor’s mandate did not require first responders and healthcare workers to no longer report to work. Due to that and the essential need for people in those positions to report to work, New York State has asked the District to publicize any local child care options that may be a resource for first responders and healthcare workers. It is the hope of school officials that the following information will be shared specifically and widely so that our outreach efforts in supporting the needs of first responders and healthcare workers are met with success.
