Four Weedsport students were selected to participate in the Zone 3 NYSSMA Area All-State this year. The festival took place at Ithaca College on Saturday, February 4th.

Nolan Carner and Adrihanna Collins were selected for Mixed Chorus. While at the Area All-State, they worked with conductor Dr. Brandon Williams, who is an associate professor of choral music and choral music education at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Jasmine Nguyen was selected for Treble Chorus. She worked with conductor Dr. Doreen Fryling, who is in her 27th year in public education at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, NY. She also teaches graduate courses in music education at Hofstra University. 

Keegan Montreal was selected for Concert Band, and worked with conductor Robin Linaberry. He is recently retired from his full time positions after 35 years teaching music at all levels. He was director of bands at Maine-Endwell High School. Both Mr. Linaberry and his ensembles have been recognized on multiple occasions for their excellence in music.
