Weedsport Central School District is excited to announce a new support service for students at the Jr.-Sr. High School. Every student in grades 8-12 now has access to 24/7 online tutoring and academic support through Paper.
Paper offers students as much help as they need, whenever they need it. There is opportunity for 1:1 support, and students can be paired with a tutor who speaks their preferred language. Some of Paper’s features include:
- Writing Feedback: Students upload any type of written assignment within Paper’s “Review Center,” including essays, book reports, or short-answer
questions. Then, ELA specialists will provide feedback, offering students detailed annotations to help improve their work. Students can resubmit their assignment as many times as they see fit. - Live Help: Students connect with a tutor across any subject, at any grade level, and receive on-demand, online help from an expert.
- College Application and Resume review.
The addition of this service will also benefit teachers. Paper creates an Insights Dashboard, where our Weedsport educators can check on student progress, and see where their students need the most help.
Our goal is to ensure all students have access to the support they need to succeed. With the help of Paper, students will receive individual attention so they can build upon what they are learning in the classroom.
Families play an important role in student learning. We hope that if parents/guardians notice their student is struggling with an assignment, they will encourage them to use Paper as a resource.
