Weedsport Jr.-Sr. High School has announced its student-athletes of the month. They are as follows and include quotes from his/her coach

• Boys’ varsity cross country team: Landon Kepple

“Landon was the top performer throughout the beginning of the season highlighted by finishing 52nd out of 345 runners at the McQuaid Invitational.”

• Girls’ varsity cross country team: Sarah Carroll

“Sarah’s performance in each race improves every time she competes. Most notably, in a crowded field at the McQuaid Invitational, Sarah placed in the top 25 for her race.”

• Varsity football team: Aidan Mabbett

“Through the first two games of the season Aidan proved to be a running powerhouse scoring five TDs and rushing for 340 yards on 18 carries – averaging 19 yards per rush.”

• Varsity field hockey team: Susanna Nemec

“In the first month of the season, Susie led the team in goals and assists and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with on the playing field.”
