October 2023 Student-Athletes of the Month
Varsity Football: Joseph Lott III is the Student Athlete of the Month for Varsity Football. He has rushed for 578 yards and six touchdowns including a 300 yard performance against Thomas A. Edison. On the defensive side, he has 26 tackles and forced two fumbles. Joseph has been an exceptional leader both on and off the field this season. He personifies hard work and dedication. His smile and caring demeanor is beloved by his teammates, coaches, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Varsity Field Hockey: Mackenzie Strong is October student-athlete of the month for field hockey. As one of the co-captains of the team, Mackenzie has done a great job keeping the players’ attitudes positive and their energy focused on our post-season play. She has played consistently well in the mid field area both on offense and defense.
Varsity Cross Country: Callahan Bacon – Callahan trained consistently over the summer to prepare for the fall season of cross-country. She has been a tough contender throughout the season, shattering her personal best times from last year. She displays perseverance, support of her teammates, and a positive attitude. Callahan has been a major force in the success of the girls’ cross country running team.
Samuel Lowery – Sam has continued to improve throughout the season. His continuous pursuit to excel has allowed him to be a competitive runner. He displays perseverance, support of his teammates, and a positive attitude. Sam is determined to do his best each time he steps on the starting line.
