Weedsport Elementary students have once again participated in a Bookmark Contest to kick off the new year!
Each classroom voted for one “Top Dog” winner, and 11 other “Artwork Awards” were given out. All the winners received a small pencil, eraser, and candy prize and got their original design laminated with an award sticker on the back.
“It is always tough to choose winners because so many students choose to participate and do their best,” said teacher aide Alicia Grady. “All participating students should be proud!”
Students’ bookmarks have also been mass produced to share with the whole school during their book exchange times. As an added bonus this year, since many student-designs included positive messages, those students’ names were entered into the school’s Positivity Project raffles.
