Weedsport Jr.-Sr. High School has announced its student-athletes of the month. They are as follows and include quotes from his/her coach

Baseball: Jake Brown

“Jake has played third base, outfield, second base, and has pitched for the varsity baseball team while his batting average is tied for the team lead at .353. He is willing to do whatever it takes to help the baseball team.”

Softball: Olivia Rudick

“Olivia has started the season working hard every day. She comes to practice ready and is willing to play any position that is asked of her. She has produced key hits in our first 4 games and has been playing solid defense. She leads by example when on the field and always is pumping up her teammates.”

Girls’ Track and Field: Haley Van Luven

“Haley possesses two essential aspects in distinguishing her as a standout – a disciplined work ethic and a willingness to help and support her teammates. She is a model as a Weedsport Warrior.”

Boys’ Track and Field: Maxwell Horsford

“Max is the inspirational leader as he leads the Weedsport Track & Field team by example in terms of attitude and effort.”

Golf: Libby Nemec

“In juts her second year playing the sport, Libby Nemec has bettered her low score by 20 strokes. She is a leader on and off the course as is the epitome of a student-athlete.”
