A big congratulations to the student-athletes being recognized as athletes of the month for May. The athletes are listed below, along with a message from each of their coaches.

Christina Jackson – Varsity softball

Christina has been a solid leader on the team both in practices and in games. Christina is currently batting .462,  11 runs, 9  RBIs, 8 stolen bases, 1 double, 2 triples, and 2 homeruns. 

Joe Guy – Varsity baseball

14 hits in 7 games, 6 RBIs, 12 runs, .550 batting average.

Joe has played well defensively and his senior leadership has brought the baseball team a lot of early success in our season.  In the month of May, Joe had a .550 batting average, scored 12 runs and drove in 6 RBIs.

Landon Kepple – Varsity boys track and field

Landon has finished first or second in multiple events and always does what’s best for the team. His hard work and great attitude have put him on the right track to go deep into sectionals.

Mariah Quigley – Varsity girls track and field

Mariah currently competes in the 4×400 Meter relay, 4 x100 meter relay, 100 meters, 100 meter hurdles, 400 Meter hurdles, and pole vault and has multiple wins in each meet.   In a meet against Pulaski on May 24, she was part of a 4 x 100 meter relay that was the second fastest time in 36 years at Weedsport. Her quest for school records in the 100 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles, and pole vault has been pursued with great enthusiasm.  

Isabel Guerrette and Isabella Delgato – Golf

Both girls have improved their scores by 9 and 8 shots respectively.  They both carded their best rounds of the year in back-to-back matches, which helped lead to 2 wins for the team.
