Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to Weedsport Central School District

At Weedsport CSD, our core mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure every student learns, thrives, and is prepared to make meaningful contributions to society. As Superintendent, my fundamental guiding principle in every situation is to ask one central question: What is in the absolute best interest of our students?

Leadership requires making tough choices. There will be times when decisions are difficult, complex, or even unpopular. However, when every choice is grounded in doing what is right for our children's safety, well-being, and future, we will always stay on the right path.

To guide our daily practice and fulfill our vision of being a premier district that inspires excellence in academics, character, and community, we align our work with the overarching goals of our Strategic Plan 2025–2030:

• Students First in Every Decision: Every policy, program, and choice we make is filtered through the lens of student growth and success. Our core commitment is to support every child, academically, socially, and emotionally, every single day.
• A Culture of Collaborative Continuous Improvement: Growth is a continuous process. By operating as a Professional Learning Community (PLC), our educators collaborate and use data-driven practices to continuously refine how we teach and support our students.
• Support for the Whole Child: Through a robust Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), we focus on early identification and proactive care to remove barriers to learning so that every child feels safe, welcomed, and valued.
• Expanded Opportunities and Innovation: We are dedicated to providing diverse academic pathways, modern technology, and safe, updated facilities that empower students to become critical thinkers and creative problem-solvers.
